Becoming an affiliate is one of the most popular career moves of the decade. People are learning to use the internet as their tool by making money off of websites, a job that doesn’t even require leaving the house.

So what exactly is an affiliate? Basically, an affiliate owns a website and refers visitors to other websites, called “merchants.” When these visitors make purchases, the other websites pay the affiliate a commission, which is determined by internet tracking devices that keep track of web users’ purchases.

If you decide to be an affiliate, you need to make careful choices about which websites to refer your visitors to. First, they need to be websites that you’re sure will be around a long time. Look at records to make sure they’ve been consistently successful - in other words, make sure they won’t go bankrupt after you put your time and energy into seeking out customers for the product.

Secondly, choose the websites based on what they offer, and think of the product long-term. For instance, an online library membership is something you can sell to a person one time, but people go back to the same places to buy clothes they like. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t link to an online library, you just need to be aware of its differences from the clothes company. Take into account the fact that libraries may be more popular than one clothing site among thousands. If you can, research the company’s records to see how much money they’ve made.

You also want to choose websites based on what your website is about. Think of what kind of people come to your site, and then imagine what type of sites they would want links to. If your site is about American history, it would be better to advertise a website that sells history books or American paraphernalia than a website offering contact lenses.

Something many affiliates don’t think about at first are consumer tracking methods. Some companies use the cookie method - putting a cookie on the customer’s computer. This isn’t as reliable as the site putting your affiliate information in the database along with the customer’s record. The cookie method is popular and may be completely safe, but it doesn’t have the successful track record of the other method, so choose only after you’re well-informed.

To advertise the product on the other website, write a recommendation. Research the product and test it out. If it’s purchase-worthy, write a few lines explaining why. Think of who would be most interested in the product and try to target them. For instance, if you’re advertising a face wash and you think women would be most likely to buy it, talk about how clean and fresh it leaves your skin feeling and smelling, and how your spouse loves how soft it leaves your face.

A direct advertisement is a teaser. This gives people an idea of the product and entices them to click through for a closer look. Remember, if you’re advertising for a large website, it most likely has other affiliates, so make your teaser stand out from the rest to get more customers and thus more commission. Creatively target the product’s market.

Becoming an affiliate is a great way to make money, but it does require work. However, if you put in time and effort, you can make money from the comfort of your own home.

Many people use casino gambling as a rite of passage from boyhood to manhood. It is very common for males to go to the casinos on their 18th birthday for some fun, and usually they come back with no money left in the bank.

But it does not matter why you decide to gamble if you are going to do risk your hard earned cash you should at least be ready for what is going to happen in the casinos.

Everyone knows how to play the most Popular Casino Games like; Roulette and Blackjack, but they do not know anything more then the basics. By learning the game more in depth you will not only increase the chances for you to take home some of the casinos money, but you will have more fun while playing the games.

There is not much to learn about playing the slot machines. The only thing to learn about them is that the longer you stay on one machine the more your odds of winning increase. The best thing to do with the slots is try to find a slot machine that someone has been playing for a while without winning and then when they leave you get that machine. Most people will play 10 or 20 dollars in a machine then leave if it does not pay off, this is a big mistake.

Games like Craps, Blackjack, Poker and Roulette have many different variables to them, making it important to educate yourself about a casino game before playing it for high stakes.

One way to learn is to spend time in the casinos playing the game and building experience. In my opinion this is the best way to learn. You are literally paying your dues for your education.

If you can not afford to spend your money in the casino or if you are not old enough to enter a casino and you want to know how to learn to gamble you can go online and many sites offer casino games that can be played against a computer or against other players just for fun. These fun games are not played for money so there is no minimum age to play these casino games.

Another way you can learn to gamble is to go to a school that teaches you to deal some of the most Popular Casino Games played today. These casino dealer schools can be found all over the country and especially near Atlantic City and Las Vegas. You will not only get to learn to play but you will learn the secrets of the dealers. This can give you a very nice advantage in the casino. It may seem like an expensive way to learn to gamble, but in the end you will probably spend less on the school then what you would lose if you just learned at the table in a casino or an online casino.

The lest recommendation I have is to go out and get a book or two on the casino game you are interested in learning about and reading about it. The books will offer advanced strategies and help you memorize the odds of each bet in each situation so you know which bet is the best and when to make it. This does not mean you will win every hand, but it increases your chance of winning some of the casinos money.

By reading this article and taking the advice you will win more money and enjoy your time in the casinos more.

Online journals, better known as blogs, are becoming more and more popular. When the Internet was first getting started, users rushed to build personal web sites. Web sites are still very popular among web users, but many are now turning to blogs. What’s the difference? This article will examine the main similarities and differences between a Weblog and a website.

While blogs and website are intended to be different, there are a couple of similarities in blogs and sites. Mainly, they are both found on the Internet using a URL or a web address. Both also must have some sort of host to keep the information online. Another similarity of the two is that they both can be maintained by virtually anyone from individuals to companies. Both Weblog and websites can also contain information, pictures, link and keywords, as well. These two types of sites will target readers.

With a blog, information that is entered on the site is generally updated very frequently depending on the writer. Sometimes blog writers even update several times a day. Usually with a website, information is not updated regularly. Websites generally contain information about something that does not change often. When a website is updated, usually the entire page is altered. With a blog, just one entry at a time is updated. After a website has been changed, that information is gone and cannot be seen again by the reader. On a blog, new entries are added, but the old ones are not deleted from the site. Instead, they are stamped with the date and time that they were created, given a title and indexed on that blog page. It makes it easy for a blog reader to go to a certain blog page and read past entries without having to search.

Another main difference between and blog and a website is that a website is generally a little harder to maintain and oftentimes requires a solid understanding of the way the Internet works. With a blog, almost anyone can easily and quickly update a blog. It does not require any special working knowledge of the Internet. In addition, there are many sites that offer blog features and most of the time these can be used for free.

Blogs also encourage people to communicate with each other much more so than with a website. A websites primary function is to provide some sort of information to a reader. While there may be a place to leave a comment or an email address for writing that is not why that site was created. Blogs are used for communication. Writers may choose to make their site private, but most choose to publish their blogs making them public to any one who wishes to read. Most blog hosting sites offer options to add to the site so readers and the writer can leave comments to each other on the site. In addition, there are entire web communities built just for blogs. Blogs encourage those who have similar thoughts, interests or even businesses to share their blog site so readers can find them easily. Blogs offer guest tracking, keyword tracking, hit counters, comment areas, and even tag boards for both the reader and the writer to use.

Blogging is extremely popular right now. As more people begin sharing their thoughts with others, there are more blogs created each day. Blogging gives writers, journalists, professionals, moms, dads and even teenagers an instant way to publish their thoughts on a regular basis. For those who enjoy writing, blogs give a unique opportunity to practice writing skills and experiment with what others want to read. Businesses use blogs to show off their expertise and knowledge in their fields, whereas websites do not always get this type of message out to the readers.

Blogging and websites do have some similarities. They are both found on the Internet and contain information. However, blogs give a writer the unique opportunity to communicate with their reader and update their entries on a frequent basis. Anyone who tries blogging will love the instant gratification of getting their opinions and thoughts out on the Internet right away and getting instant feedback from readers that visit their site.

Uprecedented Secret Revealed!

How to get tons of backlinks to your website!

This secret apparently known only to some few people around. first, let me ask you: how much would you pay for more than 1,000 one way backlinks to your website? I guess it will be around 500$-5000$, depending on the quality of the websites.

Now i’ll show you how to get that for a less than 200$, or even for nothing if you will be the one to do the work, which in my opinion is also fun! keep reading, my unprecedented secret in a couple of paragraphs.

The method for achieving such amount of backlinks is to give something that have high demand for free, and put a link to your website with the text “Provided by …” at the bottom. Now, the free thing you give can be anything, and you won’t be having to create it yourself.

Some Ideas

Here are some ideas for things you can give for free:

Software

Scripts

Articles or eBooks

Services like our ASBOX! :)

You can always pay talented people to create the free things, find those people in forums like Digital Point or go to Rent A Coder to find someone who will build you a software / free script.

The better than all method!

The answer is hidden in skins, yes… skins are a great tool to get tons of backlinks. Here is the approach to act by for getting good results:

1. Find a great web designer

2. Find a free CMS script which people uses and usually can be found on websites that have lots of traffic, a good example is phpBB. You may try to look for other forums / blogs / CMS scripts and find those ones that are popular but have already ugly skins created for them.

3. Pay the designer to create a custom skin, tell him that you are going to offer his skin for free. You may also want to give him credit, but you don’t have to.

4. At the bottom of the skin, place a direct link to your website and add the text “Provided by [Your Website Name]”

If it won’t give you traffic, at least it will give you tons of backlinks that will constantly grow as more and more people will use your skins.

I don’t have a blog other than these articles on .blog.m6.net which is the blog site of the company that I work for. I’ve started a few, same as I’ve started to keep a diary a few times, but I just don’t stick with them. Perhaps deep down I doubt anyone cares about my day-to-day life, and I’m not anxious to post my deep and intense innermost feelings. I don’t wear my heart on my sleeve, and I don’t want to post it on the Internet.

However, for those of a blogger bent who want to share their lives with others, it’s an excellent idea. You can share your life with the world, letting people on other continents know what it’s like to live where you live, and what it’s like to be who you are. Blogs are good for non-bloggers too, letting people on the other side of an issue, or a war, or the planet, read about what life is like on your side. A few years ago I met a woman with a terrible secret which sounded like some insane conspiracy theory. I tried to organize a blog for her since she wanted to share her information, and because I wanted to hear about any further developments. Sadly, I was unable to set it up that day and subsequently lost touch with her.

Oddly enough, blogs have grown beyond being a window into the blogger’s life, becoming more in the realm of entertainment. A blogger friend of mine won’t be able to write in her blog for two weeks. If it were just a diary she could just say, ‘See you in two weeks’. Instead, she is having two guest bloggers fill in. Isn’t a guest blogger like putting two chapters of someone else’s autobiography in the middle of your own? I assume that the guest bloggers will give a window into THEIR own lives, and I suspect, they’ve already proven themselves to her in their own blogs, so her ‘readers’ could simply read their blogs for two weeks. Clearly blogs are more involved than I realized.

Blogs can make you famous or let you be anonymous. You can vent your concerns about yourself to an anonymous world. Or, you can get help from strangers who may judge you but won’t be able to tell anyone you know what their judgment is. This is of course unless your friends read your blog, which I consider as part of the point of having a blog. Then they will read your venting, and any strangers’ replies to it no matter how judgmental they are. On the other side of the equation, your friends can help without you having to go through the trauma of telling them directly. Plus, any of the strangers reading your blog might notice something wrong that you aren’t aware of. A medical student might tell you what the tingling in the soles of your feet might mean so that you can consult a doctor before it gets more serious. A German housewife might notice that alcohol features more and more in your life, or that you seem to be shifting between joy and sorrow with worrying regularity. More than a window on someone’s life or simple entertainment, blogs are another way to connect with both friends and strangers, anywhere, anytime.

For the last several years there were many TV commercials and Internet ads about Internet kiosk business opportunities. The idea is that any person can purchase one or more kiosks, install them in public places, sell Internet access plus some other products and make good profit.

This sounds like a good plan for many people. Some companies also successfully implemented such ideas and do make some profit. However whether this opportunity can be profitable for inexperienced entrepreneur-wannabes is very questionable.

According to a number of recent publications and lawsuits most of such business opportunity ventures turned out to be scams. In this article I will try to summarize facts about the Internet Kiosk business opportunity.

The following arguments (the arguments can either be true, very subjective or simply lies) are provided by Internet kiosk business opportunity sellers.

* Many people need Internet access wherever they go. People would like to pay for public Internet access.

* There are many potentially profitable locations &ndash airports, malls, truck stops, nightclubs, hair salons, etc…

* People made a lot of money out of ATMs and pay phones, now is the time to profit from Internet kiosk business.

* You are just in the right place and in the right time! You are lucky to be among the first who take this incredible opportunity. Other people are already making $1000-$3000 a month. You must be not a smart businessperson if you do not take advantage of this opportunity right now!

* Investment amount ($7000-$15000 per kiosk) is very reasonable and will be paid off in a matter of 1-2 years.

* You must act now in order to secure the best locations in your area. Or other people will take this business.

* Quotes from trusted sources also support the idea:

o “250,000 to 300,000 terminals will be in service throughout the U.S. by 2005.” - Frost & Sullivan

o “By the end of 2005, 71% of all users will access the Internet via an appliance such as a terminal.” - eTForecasts

o “High Speed Public Access Internet Terminals may soon become as common in airports and shopping malls as pay telephones and vending machines” USA Today

o “Public Internet Access Terminals will replace not only pay phones but also banking machines, because they will offer capabilities as well as all the other highway applications, from sending and receiving messages to scanning maps and buying tickets. Access to terminals will be essential, and available everywhere” -Bill Gates

Is there is anything wrong with the opportunity? The reality makes the opportunity look different from what is being advertised:

* Not that many people actually need or want to use Internet Kiosks. There is an increasing number of other ways (wireless services, mobile phone devices, etc…) to connect to the Internet including free options offered at many places such as hotels and coffee shops. Another reason is security. A responsible person may not want to type their private information on a public Internet terminal.

* Equipment price is usually too high (100-300% more than it should be), additional expenses are underestimated (or simply not mentioned), and potential profits are highly overestimated.

* It s very likely that inexperienced people cannot operate this or any other business without high risk and losses. Kiosk equipment is much more complex than regular vending machines, therefore regular people can not be qualified for this business.

* Once equipment is bought, people are not able to get locations. When they use locator companies, many locators cannot provide good locations or do not provide any location at all after taking money for their service.

The actual Internet Kiosk Business opportunity business is to make money for the opportunity sellers. They make money by selling overpriced equipment while promising unrealistic returns. If a person or company is trying to get into the Internet kiosk business, they do not need any help from business opportunity sellers. There are many kiosk manufacturers, trade shows and conferences where one can get objective information about the business and industry. I believe there is no such thing as a turnkey business opportunity. Only a qualified person or company with extensive research and experience might be able to succeed in the Internet kiosk business.

Perhaps “blogging” isn’t such a graceful word. For me, personally, it sounds like a worded drudgery the way cereals can be soggy, skies can be foggy, and the way minds can be groggy. But for now, it’s too late to rename this shortened word for web-logging. Widespread blogging is nevertheless one of the most engaging Internet developments of the past few years. As a medium it gives rise to many new and worthy voices and plays a new and vital force in shaping opinions, political realities, trends, and even our language.

I believe that a blog is simply a tool to use for someone who’s got something to say. Let me be clear in saying that a blog is a poor choice for someone who needs a megaphone to scream out to cyberspace in order to elicit a meaningful response from Internet users. If you want attention and want it now and expect blogging to bring it to you, then this will surely be a disappointment. However, if you like to write and engage others on subjects of which you have some command or experience, then it’s a wonderful application with which you can interact with people who share similar interests as you. The hype is well founded.

Anyway, here’s a list of blogging tips…

1.) Be topical.

Cohesiveness in message is not optional. Readers may or may not be interested in your topic, but if your message is haphazard that few will bother remembering to return to your blog because it essentially would offer nothing to remember. This doesn’t mean blogs can’t jump from subject to subject. For instance, a blog with a humorous focus has all the leeway in the world for subject matter, but it would be foolish for such a blog to turn the humor on and off. In such an example, the aspect of humor would be content’s glue, the strength of the blog. The beauty of staying on point and on topic is that eventually, due to the nature of the Internet, you will find those interested solely in your topic. (as opposed to online diaries. There are millions of them on the internet, few have any readers. Email me with examples if I’m wrong and I’ll be able to show you why you’re showing me a blog and not a diary.)

2.) Refresh your content

Create a schedule and stick to it. Realizing that blogging requires time and effort, don’t create unrealistic expectations and be unable to deliver. An occasional lapse or holiday is generally understood but readers returning to find stale, out-dated content are going to find another blog with similar content. New blogs and RSS feeds are popping up on a daily basis. If you have worked hard to develop an audience and a community you don’t want to lose them due to lack of communication.

And remember, what’s old is not new and, for blogs, thusly not interesting. 2006 isn’t the time to rail against Enron or Vanilla Ice. Insight doesn’t matter much to yesterday’s news.

3.) Clear Language Counts.

Blessed is the blog with a clear line of logic. Write without inside jokes, clique-y catchphrases or ambiguous logic. First time readers need to be close to your message. They are more likely to return to blogs that strike them positively. If the first read is confusing there will not be a second read.

4.) Feed the Spiders.

Search engines take notice of active blogs and blog search engines are especially sensitive to activity. If nothing else, search engines are smarter today than they were yesterday and are only getting smarter. In constantly improving they are seeking to aggregate quality; quality blogs are updated several times a week, if not daily, as opposed to once or twice a month. I don’t mean to scare you but a big spider is watching, so dance for them.

5.) RSS.

Think of RSS like a magic to blogging world, because that’s the effect it’s had. RSS feeds are a way to exponentially sound your voice to the interested. These feeds are a great means to increase the distribution and readership of your original content.

6.) Spell check.

Hey man, use the spell-check. I do &ndash if I didn’t you probably wouldn’t have made it to #6. It only takes a minute and can save you from looking like a hack.

Your weblog audiences will be small at first. And, frankly, that’s the way it should be. Who are you to think that half the internet will flock to you after three or four posts of your blog, anyway?

If you tough it out while maintaining quality, readership will materialize. You will link to good, relevant blogs and, in turn, they will to you. While your voice may be unique, your niche likely isn’t and if your content is emitted smartly to the Internet those relevant readers will respond through readership and interaction. That I guarantee.

Many people are using free traffic exchanges to try and build their online income but over 90% of them are failing. If you are not using the right marketing strategy, you could be wasting your valuable time. Don’t believe what most people tell you about using free traffic exchanges, if used correctly they can be some powerful marketing tools.

Using traffic exchanges to get hits to your site can be a boring process if you don’t have an army of people under you clicking away and building credits for you. There is a better solution to get the most out of your exchange credits and bring you more success with this type of advertising.

Here are three ways that you can get the most out of your traffic exchange advertising. Follow these methods and I can guarantee that your traffic exchange advertising efforts will show a sign of improvement.

1. Join A Downline Building Club

Joining a downline club is an excellent way to get a ton of people to sign up for all the traffic exchanges you are a member of. Usually they will have 20-30 exchanges you can sign up for. After you join the downline building club you then promote this to people and every time someone joins they will be placed in your downline of all the exchanges you signed up for through the downline building clubs website. Sometimes these clubs will also promote Safelists, Co-Regs, List Builders and Affiliate Programs. They can also be an excellent opportunity to earn money when people upgrade memberships.

2. Advertise Lead Capture Pages

The fact is that most people surfing traffic exchanges only look at your page for a maximum of 30 seconds, so you are going to have to make the most out of that time by trying to get someone to join your list so they can be added to your auto-responder and you can follow up with them through an e-mail campaign. It is a waste of time to show your website or program signup page in a traffic exchange. Most people are not going to stay on the page long enough to signup or buy something from you. You can build a very large mailing list by doing this and in the end a list is more important then getting hits to your website.

3. Promote A Simple Self-Replicating Website

One of the hottest things in Internet marketing today is people promoting how you can make money buy using the power of free traffic exchange credits with self-replicating websites. Basically how this works is you come to a page that shows you a simple 3 or 4 step process which usually involves signing up for a MLM or network marketing company for free and then signing up for a couple of free traffic generating programs like Instant Buzz or a free traffic exchange. After you sign up you will then get a exact duplicate of this page with your affiliate ID numbers embedded in them, now when you promote this opportunity everyone that signs up under you will be in your downline and those people will repeat the same process. This kind of advertising is very powerful, viral and it is absolutely free. You can get this type of site by signing up on a self-replicating website page or hire a programmer to create your own.

Do these three things and you will be well on your way to passing the other 90% of marketers in the highly competitive world of free traffic exchanges.

These days, if you have something to say and want to share it with others, there’s an easy way to do it: Start a blog. If you thought only the young or computer-savvy create blogs, think again. Just about anyone can start a blog-and people of all ages are doing so.

What is a blog? A blog, short for Web log, is a Web page where you write about things that are important to you. Many people use blogs as online journals. Some bloggers write about their hobbies. Others use blogs to share their opinions on politics and serious issues, often adding their own comments to news stories.

To start your own blog, just follow these three simple steps.

1. Select a Topic and Blog Hosting Site-The first step is deciding what you want to write about. Next, find a blog hosting site. Many portals, such as Google, Yahoo and MSN, offer free hosting. Also, there are specialized blogging sites focusing on specific topics, such as family and business. Do a search to find a site that best fits your topic. Once you’ve selected a site, you’ll fill in some basic information about yourself and your blog topic. Now you’re ready to start writing and posting to your very own blog.

2. Add Video to Your Blog-The next step is to add a video to your blog. This is called a vlog, short for video blog. To create one, you can use software such as Vlog It!, from Serious Magic. The software lets you create videos that look like a TV news show. First, connect a Webcam or camcorder to your computer. Next, import pictures or video from your computer, digital camera, camcorder or cell phone. Finally, read your script from the teleprompter included with the software. Because the Webcam or camcorder is positioned directly above your monitor, it will look as if you’re staring into the camera.

The program offers special effects and graphics similar to those used on television, so your production looks professional. The technology also has a wizard feature that makes the entire process relatively simple. To learn more, visit .VlogIt.com.

3. Share Your Blog-Decide if you just want your friends and family to see your blog or vlog, or if you want more people to view it. If you want it to be available to the general public, register with search engines-such as .technorati.com-that specialize in tracking the blogging universe.

Now that you know the basics, it’s time to get creative and join the blogosphere.

Create a vlog and transform your blog into a TV news show.
